It is common in many spiritual and religious setting to demonize anything that is of “lower vibrations” OR related to the “darkness” or “dark light”. However to think this way is more in alignment with the ideals of “original sin” than it does with higher levels of spirituality. As the darkness, and lower vibrations are all part of the YIN energy, also known as the Devine Feminine.

Yin energy runs on the left side, this is why dark magic is considered the left hand path. As that is where the yin is strongest. In navigation that would also relate to your West, where the sun sets. Lunar energy is also attached to the Yin. Again this is a symbol of darkness, a place were illusions blend what is of this world or another.
Yin is the Gaia, the mother divine goddess. She represents moving as a slow pace, being passive, being nurturing, and cold. This is the darkness that is the Mother Earth below our feet, allowing us to dump what energy that we can not take down into the Mothers Darkness, to be healed.

Yin is where a lot of our emotions run high, which is why high emotions has always been connected to feminine identity. Emotions such as anger, sadness, negativity; they all stem from the YIN energy. These are not bad, or wrong energies to have. They can be used to help construct favorable outcomes, and growing ones self to a stronger place through balance. Anger is an energy that often gets looked down upon. However anger is an emotion that shows that a person is truly in tune with their true self. It first pushes on the Solar Plexus, or yellow Aura, in the system. This is where your self will pushes to create the world around you. When things are not going favorably anger is often the most popular response. It is how you choose to respond to that emotion that helps you to either grow, remain the same, or slide backward.

To properly work with an emotion such as Anger, connecting with your YIN would be ideal. The Yin energy can help carry out the destructive energy energy created by the Anger. Allowing you to feel yourself push it down your body and out your feet, into the dark void below your feet. The anger that remain is your free will ready to push obstacles out of the way. To remain in the Yin energy, it is ideal to move slowly with you anger. As Yin is a slower moving energy. This pace will also allow you the time to remain balanced and more effective in releasing your Anger.

There are many ways to connect to your Yin so that you may flow through life with more balance. Bringing in black into your life is always beneficial. Connecting to the Lunar Calander and being more interactive with the Lunar phases. Celebrating the New and Full Moon every month.
The Moon is an Incredibly powerful source that effects the entire earth. When connecting with the moon it is ideal to keep a Journal. There are many different types of journals and almanacs to help guide you on what to expect during each phase.
